The Heart
A space for Christian women to grow in faith, wisdom, and courage.
Here, theology isn’t scary—it’s an invitation to dive deep into God’s Word, wrestle with big questions, and seek clarity. We are women filled with grace and known for love, yet bold in defending truth and goodness.
Biblically literate, theologically engaged, and ready to stand firm in God’s truth.
About Me.
wedding day vibes 2016
Hi, I'm Cass!

Daughter of the Most High King and my incredible Creator. Wife to an amazingly Godly man, Will, who leads our family with humility and joy (forever grateful!). Mum to four beautiful kids (four kids 5 and under at one time). Raising them in God's ways is the most wonderful blessing and privilege, even in the craziness of life. I don't take for granted the gift God gave me in trusting me to raise them in His ways.

On a more personal note, I like my indoor plant babies. Patience has definitely become a virtue living in a half-renovated house for over five years now, but I truly believe in opening my home to others and practising hospitality. I love cooking, I love trying new food and learning from others. I wish I could curl my hair like a pro (but alas, I can't) and I do love a bit of a makeup sesh, it's just fun. I listen to a lot of lectures, sermons, interviews and podcasts. I always want to read more but struggle in that department due to many, many interruptions and really enjoy a good debate with a tendency to question, well, nearly everything.

But back to the important stuff…
Her Theology's first episode aired in 2020, however the passion for this project started way back in 2000. At a conference I attended where I heard a Christian woman stand up and share a message that sparked a deep hunger and passion for the Word of God within me. I felt a desire to bring others to the same place. Over the next few tumultuous teenage years, highs and lows, plus my young adult years "wandering the desert," the flame, though small, continued to flicker.

Fast forward to 2012. God reigned me back in, brought me to my knees in repentance, and reignited and inflamed that passion. Through some incredibly loyal, patient, and gracious friends who discipled me, that dream I had all the way back in 2000 - the idea of creating a blog or some sort of media outlet, started to take shape. After years of discipleship and training, maturing and being washed in the Word, I finally shared the dream with a friend, and Her Theology was born 20 years later.

The heart and vision for Her Theology has never changed.

I desperately want to see women excited, passionate, and confident in their faith. I want you to see that theology isn't scary. Dive in, get lost in the many wonders of God's Word, be overwhelmed, and desperately seek clarity. It's in these moments that we come to a place of humility and learn how to delve deeper, listen to how people understand it, and start to figure it out.

There should be no fear in getting stuck in the weeds. These moments actually help us mature and deepen our understanding. In those moments of being challenged, learning, and hearing from others further down the road, we gain so much. We strengthen our understanding, grow in wisdom, and learn discernment (Hosea 14:9).

And that's what Her Theology is: a place to offer different thoughts, challenging topics, theological beliefs, all held against the authoritative truth of God's Word, the Bible.

Ultimately, it's taking you, on my own journey of learning. We are on this journey together. As saints, as children of God, learning more about him everyday, getting up when we fall and humbly admitting that we are all still figuring it out.

I’m so glad you're on the journey. I count it an honour to have you with me.

the verse I keep going back to
Who is wise? Let them realize these things.
Who is discerning? Let them understand.
The ways of the Lord are right;
the righteous walk in them,
but the rebellious stumble in them
Hosea 14:9
